Back in Business!

Hello faithful (or occasional?) readers. I am back from another carpal tunnel surgery. Thankfully, this one has not been as difficult as the right hand recovery was. I haven't been much up to typing lengthy entries lately, but I was able to do a little painting since I'm right-handed.

I finished this custom portrait of someone's fish a few weeks ago. Her name is Bea Arthur. :)

These baby paintings are so fun to do. They're also relatively quick, which is nice! They make cute personalized gifts for new babies or younger kids. There are several examples on my website: artbybethany.net

I had a milestone birthday a few weeks ago...the big 3-0! I was mildly panicking anticipating this date, but I had a great birthday weekend & am kind of at peace with it. I went to see Alice in Wonderland 3-D with some friends & went out to eat. The movie was really awesome & has inspired me to do some more Alice paintings. My friend, Jenni, gave me this giant coloring book/poster book of old Alice illustrations. She also gave me this adorable tea set in a carrying case. :)
